Send-Off to Beijing Day
July 6, 2008
11:00 AM - 10:00 PM
On this last day of competition we are celebrating the athletes who have earned the right to represent the USA, en route to Beijing. After the final event we will have a short closing ceremony that includes a Chinese dragon procession around the track and into the festival.
Festival Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
Entry gates close 30 minutes before the end of the Festival
each day.
Hayward Field opens: 1:30 p.m.

2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. On the Video Screen - live coverage of the meet simulcast from Hayward Field
6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Flossin hip-hop/rap performances by Lila Dmone and Kokamo
8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Satin Love Orchestra
At The Starting Block: Send the athletes off to Beijing by signing a good luck banner
11:30 a.m. Walking tour – Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art
Other Activities: Tree Climbing by the Pacific Tree Climbing Institute
Citizens cycling to create energy at the Track Town Power Station presented by Safeway
